FRANK26......12-27-2015

Hello Family let us pray,

Dear Heavenly Father, creator of our universe, all things near and far, we give You many thanks for the blessings of this day.  We ask for peace Father and that You will protect us from all evil.  May we be faithful to You on all our ways forever looking to the great promise You have given to each of us.  I pray that as Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior, that He may be welcomed today in the lives of those who seek salvation, so they too may find renewed life and shed the misgivings of the past.  Let us learn from His Word and great teaching, so we strive to be more Christ like.  Father God we praise and thank You for all that comes to our hearts from You.  In receiving from You our trust abounds and we become certain of Your continued help.  In the name of Christ Jesus….AMEN

Welcome again Family, I find a great deal of satisfaction in writing to you each week.  I always pray that these words may touch someone in an extra special way, when that happens it really makes me smile and lights up my day.  I am thankful to God for this gift, and I am glad that I can pass it along.  They say that opposites attract, I can lend credence to that in saying that my beautiful bride is a social butterfly, whereas, I am not.  We can walk into a room of strangers and if I’m not careful I will lose track of her, as she is making new friends…me not so much, I tend to figure that people don’t want to be bothered by someone they don’t know.  I have a tremendous amount of respect for her and this quality that she exhibits so willingly.

When you look at someone you know do you have a respect for them because of what you see in them?  I hope so.  It would be nice if the respect you have for someone were due in large part to how they conduct themselves on a daily basis.  The same thing should be true of our own daily life; hopefully we are living in such a way that we win the respect of others.  When we become believers in Christ we become His stewards or representatives on earth.  We may not like it, or even think it at the time, but we are called to a higher standard.  After all, how we live our lives should bring glory to Father God.

Keep in mind that it is our “daily life,” the things we tend to do routinely, that should win the respect of others.  We aren’t required to be an Olympic class athlete; we shouldn’t have to go out of our way doing something major to have others respect us.  We simply need to follow the path destined for us by God and live the life of excellence that He provides to us.  In our life we are faced with many choices, some are bad, some are good; we need to be looking for those good choices, seeking common ground with God so we may be seen as a peacemaker of sorts.

Make a choice that you will spend more time with God each day.  It is important to realize that we tend to become like those we spend most of our time with.  As we give ourselves to God…what we gain in return is a development of His character and that is a great thing to possess.  This allows us to accomplish two things together, winning the respect of others and bringing glory to Father God.

So that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders...  1 Thessalonians 4:12

Go in Peace
Blessings to you all

Aloha
