FRANK26......01-23-2016

Hello Family, pray with me please,

Father God I pray thanks for Your teaching today, I pray that each of us learns at least one thing from You; I pray that we turn our hearts to You on as many occasions as we can, that we find those opportunities more and more.  Father I know that as I learn more about Your word I am enriched beyond belief.  I thank You Father for these opportunities and I pray that I may help at least one other who struggles as I do and needs to come to know You in a similar fashion.  Father I pray that in our time we are given blessings that are greater than anything we could ever hope for and know that it comes to us from Your bountiful hands, and that with this blessing comes Your trust with us as stewards and servants to Your way.  Guide us Father and help each of us in the way that only You can as Lord God over all.  Father I pray to Christ Jesus knowing that His death was to wash my sins and the sins of the world.  I pray for the forgiveness of my wrongs and ask that His blood wash my tired body as I give it to Him, that He may bring new life to me so that I may walk forward and offer the words that others need to hear in their day as they too seek His hand.  Father I pray for healing of the world, a healing Father that will not only bring the sick back to health, but a healing that will stop all violence and bring brothers and sisters together again under Your great Heaven so we may all be enlightened to Your ways and word.  In the name of Jesus Christ as my Savior I pray….AMEN.

Welcome again Family, I hope this is a fruitful weekend for you and your family.  Has anyone ever taken the time to note a difference in hospitality and entertaining?  When we entertain what tends to happen.  We know we have to have a spotless house, we have to get things ready prior to guests showing up, food and beverages have to be prepared and serving areas set up and restocked from time to time.  All the focus is upon the host and how well things seem to be going.

On the other hand, hospitality puts the focus upon the guests.  What needs might the guests have, how can those needs be met?  What type of nourishment is required, if any?  Perhaps a sympathetic ear is needed to help a friend over a rough spot in their life; perhaps they just need a safe haven for a short period of time.

Hospitality, unlike entertaining can be offered at the drop of a hat, the house can be messy, if someone is seen to be hungry a can of warmed soup is often welcome.  There doesn’t need to be a number of other guests present to make this a success.  A quiet discussion about issues or concerns may turn things around; often the person can work through things by themselves by just talking things out with a caring listener.  This can even be accomplished while folding laundry or preparing dinner for the family.

Hospitality is obviously far less formal than entertaining.  It can occur when we are busy, when we are short of money, or even when we are tired.  Almost no planning needs to go into prep work ahead of time, just an agreeable friend who will listen and provide feedback in a Christian-like way is all that is necessary.  Be ready to help and practice good hospitality.

When God's people are in need, be ready to help them. Always be eager to practice hospitality.  Romans 12:13

Go in Peace

Blessings to you all

Aloha
