FRANK26......11-20-2015

Hello Family let us pray,

Heavenly Father we pray thanks for this day and the blessings we have discovered in our lives.  Father we pray for those who we know to be sick or ill in some manner and ask that Your healing hands be placed upon them to return their health to 100%.  Father where we are weak make us strong; where we are cocky and overly sure, humble us; where we see only negative bring forth the positive to be shared.  Our lives were forever changed when Your Son died upon the cross for our sins, we give thanks to His tremendous sacrifices and know they have not been made in vain.  We strive to follow as closely as possible in His footsteps, knowing as we do we fail, but we also know You are there to pick us up and dust us off and encourage our pursuit of becoming more and more like you with each passing day.  Yes Father we witness setbacks, but we also feel and experience triumphs that overshadow any negative that jumps in our path.  Provide the ever-present light at our feet to guide our path and mark our way Father.  We give ourselves to You through our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, knowing He is the doorway to You and life eternal.  In the name of Christ Jesus we offer our prayers today….AMEN.

Welcome Family I hope and pray you are having a great start to this weekend that ramps us up to Thanksgiving next Thursday.  Maybe you are simply enjoying the last throes of Fall as the temperatures wane….well ok, some of us have seen them plunge in recent days.  Or do you sit and stare idly out the window at what is yet to come, deep in thought about how the world could be changed inside a few short weeks or months….I hope those are good pro-active thoughts you might be having in that regard.

How many have been to the great monument known as Mount Rushmore?  It is quite the visual grandeur of someone’s idea of taking a mountain that one day was just rock and turning it into a work of art within a few short years.  One would have to wonder what inspired the sculptor, Gutzon Borglum to attack that particular mountain, what did he see when he first peered at it?  Yes it is in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota, from his first visualization to the unveiling, just 14 years….he accomplished one incredible piece of workmanship that I am sure he was very proud of and surely the many thousands upon thousands of tourists who have seen its beauty pay tribute to his efforts.

We may not realize it but God envisions much the same thing in each of us.  But for Him to accomplish His work, we must allow ourselves to be moldable.  So you say, I believe I am that moldable person, what will God make of me….well the answer of course is a likeness of Him.  For underneath the rock layers and rough edges is what God pursues, a work of art.  A thing of beauty that not only is He proud of, but so should all who see us be proud and awed as well.  Yes He creates this work of art with the intention of withstanding the test of time…..what does that mean…..well His intention of for His work to last into eternity of course.

First though, we must make ourselves moldable so He may do His work and be proud of the finished product….a product He will gladly show to many.

Yet you, LORD, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.  Isaiah 64:8

Go in Peace
Blessings to you all

Aloha
